We, Scott and Maria, have been married since January 2022.  Together, we have 6 children and one grandchild.  While we were still dating, God opened our eyes to the relevance of deliverance through freedom experienced in our own family.  Having faced abuse in the past, we have seen the importance or inner healing and deliverance in our own lives.

Scott grew up in a Lutheran church but spent years not really believing in God.  In 2018, Jesus met Scott as he surrendered his life to Him in a very difficult season of life.  He received a heart of flesh for his heart of stone as the Holy Spirit did a radical change in his life.  He has continued to grow in his faith and walk with the Lord and has had numerous roles in his local church. 

Maria was raised attending a Mennonite church and gave her heart to the Lord when she was 5 years old.  She strived to live for Jesus in her youth.  When she was 18, she rededicated her life to the Lord through a time of repentance and surrendering to His plan.  She has served in her local church over the years with a most recent role in Women's ministry. 

We felt a leading to deliverance ministry for several years but really weren't sure what that would look like.  We were both working full-time jobs and raising our family.  However, the Lord started equipping us and in spring 2024, we stepped out and started praying deliverance prayers for people.  We saw fruit in the prayers but we didn't know about the significant role of inner healing.

In August, 2024, we joined Invicta University to get vital training in the areas of inner healing and deliverance.  In November 2024, Maria joined Remnant Warriors through Bless Collective and went through the 12-week course which was very impactful for the ministry of inner healing.

In January 2025, Lifted Burden Ministries was established, and both Scott and Maria began ministering inner healing and deliverance via zoom or in-person sessions. Scott meets with the men and Maria meets with the women.  Occasionally, they are able to minister together to an individual.  Maria left her full-time imaging job after a 30-year career and is now available to schedule sessions during the day as well as some evenings.

Our desire is to meet people where they are at with a heart of compassion and minister with the leading of the Holy Spirit to the areas that the Lord desires to bring healing and freedom.  It is a privilege to sit with people and in some of their most vulnerable moments and see the Lord do a healing work in their lives.  We are blessed to be entrusted with this ministry to those that are hurting and it is an honor to serve the Lord in this capacity.
